VdS-certified original – authentic Black Forest clockmaking.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Black Forest cuckoo clocks are robust, long-lasting timepieces. Occasionally wipe the case with a dry, soft cloth. The movement should be cleaned and oiled by a specialist every 5 years. Keep the clock away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to protect the natural wood.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
We ship every clock carefully packaged and insured with DHL, usually within 3–5 working days. Delivery is free within Germany and throughout the EU; for all other countries the shipping cost is shown during checkout. If you are not completely satisfied with your clock, you may return it within 14 days. Simply contact us at info@schneider-clocks.com.

The Bird in Flight
The five-leaf bird clock is the original form of the carved Black Forest cuckoo clock – and the Avis Aurea shows it at its most elegant. The characteristic contrast finish brings out light, hand-worked carved accents from the dark walnut brown, lending depth and radiance to every leaf and feather. So every clock carries the signature of the carver who made it.
Captured Mid-Flight
Unlike its counterparts, the Avis Aurea's bird doesn't sit – it flies. With wings spread wide and raised upward, it seems to be landing on the case at this very moment, every feather traced in light incised carving, its gaze from the red glass eye alert and lively. A moment of nature, forever captured in wood – and in a moment it will share its song with the cuckoo, who emerges from behind the little door on the hour.
Five Leaves, One Frame
Five richly carved vine leaves frame the case, making the clock look as if it grew straight out of the forest. The lattice-engraved dial field and the artfully turned wooden dial with Roman numerals continue the tradition that has defined this clock form for over 150 years.
The Pendulum, in Nature's Rhythm
The pendulum picks up the leaf motif too: a carved maple leaf with light decorative veins swings evenly beneath the clock. Together with the two pinecone weights, it creates the familiar image of a genuine Black Forest cuckoo clock – mechanical, alive, with no battery at all.
The Mechanical 1-Day Movement
Inside works a purely mechanical one-day movement made in Germany. The pinecone weights need to be pulled up just once a day – that's all this clock requires. The cuckoo calls the hour on every full hour; the manual night shut-off lets you silence it at any time.
