Cuckoo clocks from the Black Forest are robust, long-lived timepieces. Wipe the case occasionally with a dry, soft cloth. The movement should be cleaned and oiled by a specialist workshop every 5 years. Keep the clock away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to protect the natural wood.

We ship every clock carefully packed and fully insured with DHL, usually within 3 to 5 working days. Delivery is free within Germany, across the entire EU and to the United States. For deliveries to the United States all import duties are included in the price as well, there is nothing to pay on delivery. For all other countries the shipping cost is shown during checkout and any customs duties are paid by the recipient. If you are not completely satisfied with your clock, you may return it within 14 days free of charge. A short message to info@schneider-clocks.com is all it takes.

The faithful companion

In front of the house a man sits comfortably over his beer, with his dog keeping watch beside him. On the left the mill wheel turns, a fir tree stands behind it, and right at the top of the chimney a little chimney sweep looks out over the roof.

After the cuckoo call the figures step onto the balcony and turn to the music of Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer, the beer drinker raises his mug and the mill wheel turns.

The mechanical 1-day movement

Inside works a purely mechanical 1-day movement. Three pine cone weights of 320 grams each drive the time train, the cuckoo call and the music box. Once a day they are pulled up on their chains, a small routine that quickly becomes a habit.

After the cuckoo call the music box plays without any electronics, powered solely by the weights. The automatic night shut-off keeps call and music silent overnight.
