Cheers, the beer garden is open
The coachman arrives in front of the inn with his horse, the cart loaded with beer barrels. Next to him the copper brewing kettle gleams, a guest in lederhosen waits on the bench with his mug in hand, and in the arched doorway stands the waitress in her dirndl, a beer mug in each hand. On the far right a regular has already found his table.
Above, the balcony opens between the blue and white shutters. After the cuckoo call the couples in traditional costume turn there, the 36-note music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer, and waitress, coachman and mill wheel come to life.
A small bell tower sits on the ridge, and the Biergarten sign hangs under the roof. At 44 centimetres high and 52.5 centimetres wide, this is one of the large chalets in our collection.
