Listen to the cuckoo
Original recording from our Manufactory in Gütenbach.
Original Black Forest cuckoo clock, certified by the Verein die Schwarzwalduhr e. V. (VdS), the Black Forest Clock Association. Your guarantee of genuine craftsmanship from the Black Forest.
Cuckoo clocks from the Black Forest are robust, long-lived timepieces. Wipe the case occasionally with a dry, soft cloth. The movement should be cleaned and oiled by a specialist workshop every 5 years. Keep the clock away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to protect the natural wood.
We ship every clock carefully packed and fully insured with DHL, usually within 3 to 5 working days. Delivery is free within Germany, across the entire EU and to the United States. For deliveries to the United States all import duties are included in the price as well, there is nothing to pay on delivery. For all other countries the shipping cost is shown during checkout and any customs duties are paid by the recipient. If you are not completely satisfied with your clock, you may return it within 14 days free of charge. A short message to info@schneider-clocks.com is all it takes.

Figures & finish
At the very top a bird spreads its wings, below it bold leaves in dark walnut brown frame the dial. In between sits the balcony with four brightly painted dancers.
After the cuckoo call the music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer, and the four figures turn. The calm wood relief above and the colourful movement below give Avis Melodia its character.
Inside works a purely mechanical 1-day movement. Three pine cone weights of 320 grams each drive the time train, the cuckoo call and the music box. Once a day they are pulled up on their chains, a small routine that quickly becomes a habit.
After the cuckoo call the music box plays without any electronics, powered solely by the weights. The automatic night shut-off keeps call and music silent overnight.
We do not yet have high-resolution detail and room photographs of this clock. We will add them as soon as possible and then present this page with the same care as those of our other clocks.
