Others hide their movement. This one doesn't.
On almost every cuckoo clock the mechanics sit behind a closed front. The Mühle does the opposite: the case is opened up to nothing but its load-bearing struts, the dial reduced to a ring, the side walls glazed. Stand in front of it and you see the gears turning, the chains travelling, the movement at work.
Added to this is everything that makes up a Black Forest musical clock: a mill wheel on the stream, a wood chopper at his block, a deer at the water, four figures on the balcony, and a genuine music box on the hour.
