CARE & MAINTENANCE

Cuckoo clocks from the Black Forest are robust, long-lived timepieces. Wipe the case occasionally with a dry, soft cloth. The movement should be cleaned and oiled by a specialist workshop every 5 years. Keep the clock away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to protect the natural wood.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

We ship every clock carefully packed and fully insured with DHL, usually within 3 to 5 working days. Delivery is free within Germany, across the entire EU and to the United States. For deliveries to the United States all import duties are included in the price as well, there is nothing to pay on delivery. For all other countries the shipping cost is shown during checkout and any customs duties are paid by the recipient. If you are not completely satisfied with your clock, you may return it within 14 days free of charge. A short message to info@schneider-clocks.com is all it takes.

The faithful companion

In front of the house a man sits comfortably over his beer, with his dog keeping watch beside him. On the left the mill wheel turns, a fir tree stands behind it, and right at the top of the chimney a little chimney sweep looks out over the roof.

On the hour the cuckoo calls, then one of twelve melodies plays and the figures on the balcony turn. It is the same clock as the mechanical MT 6564/9, only with an electronic movement.

A wooden cuckoo and metal weights

Even with an electronic movement it remains a genuine Black Forest cuckoo clock: the cuckoo is made of wood and the pine cone weights of 270 grams each are made of metal, just as on our mechanical clocks. That is what gives this clock its quality.

The electronic movement keeps the clock running, so there is no daily winding. On the hour the cuckoo calls, followed by one of twelve melodies. A light sensor silences the clock automatically as soon as the room gets dark.

We do not yet have high-resolution detail and room photographs of this clock. We will add them as soon as possible and then present this page with the same care as those of our other clocks.
